2016 Team Tennis Week 5

With just three weeks left in the season, will Team Yoko stay strong or will they falter going into the final weeks? Team Nancy and Team Patti are in a slug fest for that number two spot; it could go either way and they are both in striking distance of that coveted number one spot! Team Jackie breaks the century mark and are making plans to dominate their opponents the last three weeks of the season.  Our next match is Saturday, June 4th 8AM.  Have a great Holiday Weekend and get out on the courts and keep that ball in play JUST ONE MORE TIME! (I remember someone saying that.)

Thanks,
The Commish

2016 Tournament @ Rossmoor

Early Saturday morning, under cloudy skies, Team Trilogy assembled for their trip to Rossmoor.

It was a dark and stormy day at Rossmoor for the Trilogy team.  We took on our opponents head to head, racket to racket and we came in second! No blood was lost, no emergency room visits but plenty of food and drink was consumed.  Twenty-four sets were played and the results were Rossmoor 18 sets Trilogy 6 sets.  On the bright side in Women's Doubles, Jackie Evans and Lupita Fabregas won both of their sets. Nancy Whitney and Patti Sorg battled and won their first set in a tie breaker. In Mixed Doubles John Camacho and Yoko Yoshii won their first set and Al Morrison and Zeny deVera won their first set.  In Men's Doubles Claude Trottier and Steve Moore just missed winning their first set but came back to crush their opponents in the second set.  Just wait for the Trilogy/Rossmoor rematch in August.  With home court advantage and several tournaments under our belts I feel a blowout on the horizon!
