Thanks for the courts

As we all celebrated our first ever Covid Thanksgiving, many of us are thankful for our tennis courts.

We are also thankful that Carmen has captured some of our fun times on those courts.

Ladies on the 4th

The CourtJesters Ladies took over Courts 1 & 2 on the 4th of July. They played some tennis and took 2 photos. These photos illustrate how many ladies were there.

Unfortunately it's difficult to identify them. So we're providing close ups.

There was no explanation what was going on in either photo. Looks like a bit of posing. You decide.

As these photos were being posted, more arrived!

Some men were out as well

Some to play

Some to watch

2020 Spring Tournasocial

CourtJesters kicked off 2020 with a long standing tradition - Spring Tournasocial. 14 players gathered after a rainy evening and played 84 games of tennis. Since everyone was playing there are no photos of play. The social side of this event took place at the Delta Clubhouse where the winners were announced.

First Place - Peter Evans

Second Place - Ken Thirakomen

Third Place - Karen Smith & Clif Benzel
All of these trophies presented must be returned for presentation at the next tournament.
The KEEPER trophy

Much thanks go to Joe Downes the originator and organizer of the Tournasocial. He started this tradition at least 15 years ago. Maybe longer. He scrupulously plans for all possible competitive configurations because you never can tell how many will show up to play. He has used his extensive bargaining skills to obtain keeper prizes and he always entertains us with his presentations.
